I tried this based on the ratings here, but found it didn't do well for me. Taste was so-so. Maybe taste was affected by the long, wet & cold first half of the summer in NH. |

I love this kale! Excellant in soups. Cut and come again and again. Ours makes it through our winter with fresh kate in the early spring |

I've grown this variety several years. It's my favorite kale. I love to fry it with red and savoy cabbage for a visual as well as taste treat. It's easy to grow and though I guess not a prolific producer it out produces my needs. The color adds to the beauty of the garden. |

Excellent in my area when planted in early spring. It gets large and provides abundant cut-and-come-again leaves --- yet upright growth is suitable for the smaller garden. More pest free than many other kales. Great taste for a true-kale type (i.e. for a non-napus type). Very dark green leaves have been shown by researchers to have over twice the level of certain valuable carotenoid antioxidants compared to other kale varieties. |

Delicious and ornamental. Prolific, this can be a cut and come again plant that will provide you with fresh greens until Thanksgiving |

Excellent flavor. Yield was not as great as other varieties for me, but worth growing. |

Big, beautiful and much tastier than other kales. Very reliable, but a bit prone to small spiders. |
