Spring planting did not yield any fruit. We plant in a raised bed and none of our Mid-May plantings were successful due to the heat early in the season. We had better success in the fall from a August 1st planting, however the Cherry Belle only had one fruit, which had split. It was smaller and not great

Grew ok, but not great. The early heat wave this year was not good for radishes. We had an average harvest, but the radishes were not uniform. They varied in shape and size.

Poor germination due to extraneous circumstances in the garden. The two mature radishes from the spring planting were totally different: one true to “Cherry Belle” type with mild flavor, the other long, dark red and quite strong in flavor. Another planting in late summer had the same result. I suspect the seed was not a single variety.

Cherry belle radishes are your classic grocery-store radishes, but with a sweet and crunchy homegrown taste that is unforgettable. It\'s a great choice for home gardeners- super fast maturity (approx. 23 days), doesn\'t take up too much room, easy to collect seeds from.

Excellent radish. My favorite to grow. Younger, smaller radishes are very mild. They can get spicy if left to mature longer. Very easy to grow in small spaces, crowded together.

A very good radish with quicker than average maturity. In my garden this is the first radish to mature, along with Champion, and before other popular vaieties such as Early Scarlet Globe, Sparkler and French Breakfast. Those are all good varieties too, but just not quite as quick. This variety (C. Belle) has nice small tops so they can be planted pretty close together but still end up easy to thin and harvest. On the down side, if you like to eat the tops (sauteed with oil and garlic or in a gravy with meat and other veggies) you won\'t get as much top-growth and if you have pests such as slugs and flea beetles this one may have a harder time outgrowing their damage. Like all radishes that I know it will get too pungent/hot if the weather is too hot, the root is too old, or it grew without sufficient water and nutrients.

I keep wanting to grow more exotic radishes but I keep coming back to Cherry Belle because they are so quick to grow, so relatively tolerant of heat and dryness, and so tasty. They will get tough, hot and woody if they don't get sufficient water or if it is too hot, but they are more tolerant than most radishes. Best to plant small quantities frequently. If you are not ready when they are ready, they will keep better in the fridge than in the ground. Remove the leaves and wrap them in plastic.

This was one of the first radishes I ever grew, and it is the only one I grow now. Very good flavor. They grow to around an 1"- 1 1/2". Uniform, and very attractive, red-pink coloring. 26 days. AAS winner. This is a great variety for experienced and first time gardeners alike. Very easy to grow. Try it.

Nice popular radish is crispy and sweet with perfect tang. A good red color, medium size - about 1", round and good-looking. Good germination. Older radishes tasted fine, but developed tough skins. Excellent snack, trimmed and chilled in ice water! Pretty little pink flowers if you let some bloom - and you'll get interesting seed pods and seeds for next year! Well, I planted my saved seed the following year with much pride. Alas, the radishes produced ran the gamut of all shapes and sizes, and the worst of it was most were inedible. I did not think this was hybrid seed, but perhaps I got some cross pollination. Not being a botanist, I'm stumped again!

This radish is easy to grow. It produces well so long as the weather stays relatively cool. This is an excellent radish for eating straight or slicing straight into salads. Once the summer heat kicks in the radishes get thin and scraggly, and the taste is no longer crisp and spicy, but really hot!

Pretty little radish. Not as strong as some varieties. Does very well in south Louisiana when planting starts in late September and continues through early November.... Later fall/winter plantings are OK but growth is very slow.
