Early planting was very disappointing, likely due to our cold, wet spring; hardly ang germination, and fruits were very small. Late summer planting was much better. Very nice looking radishes, spicy, but not too hot.. Great in salads. |

Planted about the end of June it gives us softball size radishes by September. There is a huge diference in quality of seed from different sources. |

This radish is better known as "watermelon" or Roseheart, but by whatever name it is an excellent winter radish. It also does relatively well as a spring planting here, producing turnip sized radishes about 10 days later than White Icicle. Very vigorous, less susceptible to soil insects than the Icicle. |
