It says "early", but they started to get red in the end of July!!! My neighbor brought them from a local nursery as plant. they were pretty big when I put them to the ground on June 1. They are in the best part of the garden, full sun, great soil, fertilizer a little bit, water proparly. I think generally I did the right things, everyday few times I'm in the garden. They were in good size green for long time. Also this summer is pretty hot and sunny. But they were not early. I liked their taste, a little bit acidic, but not extraordinary awesome.
Although I didn't have any bug or disease problem, because they were so late, I'm gonna try another early variety instead of first lady next year. |

I grew First Lady as part of the 2002 tomato trials. First lady wasn't early (late July), but yielded 5 to 7 ounce, thin skinned and good tasting fruits. The total yield was less than expected, but First Lady II has yielded better . |
