| I grew early and late crops of Cylindra beets (Burpee) in 2010 and 2011 and was very pleased. They grow well even through the heat of the summer. Most stay about 1.5\" in diameter and hold well in place into winter. Taste is \"sweet earthy beet,\" a delight. |

| It has nice crispy texture and good taste. I mix them with detroit dark. Because cyclindra has beautiful rings when I slice them, but very light pink color, so detroit gives that rich classic dark purple color. I boil them, peel them, slice them and mix with vinegar, crushed garlic and salt. 1 day later in the refrig., yum.
I gave 2 stars to easy/reliability, because it needs great amount of woodash to make the soil sweet also peat moss to loosen the clay/sand soil. It means extra work. |

| Great beet. More productive than most round beets, does not get woody as it gets bigger, it just gets longer. I love to make pickled beets, and these are great for that, they're easier to peel and slice because of the "carrot" shape (they don't squirt all over the kitchen like the round ones do), and you get more beet per plant. Great sweet taste, particularly if you leave them till after a frost. |

| I love growing this variety because it doesn't get woody as it matures. It just keep growing longer. This means a longer eating season. Good taste roasted or fresh in salads. |

| Very easy to grow. Had a very good flavor fresh. The green cooked up good but a bit bitter. They grew 6 to 8 inches long about 2 inches across. Many slices per beet. Canned very good maintained thier flavor. |
