Nice compliment to Yellow Pear, but not nearly as prolific or easy. Fruits and plants are smaller than Yellow Pear, and annual yields per plant are under 3# in my garden.
Novelty shape is attractive, and flavor is good.
This one can often be found at local garden centers, making it available to gardeners who don't start their own seeds.

Nice companion to yellow pear. I mainly raised this one because I remembered it from my grandparents garden. I wasn't disappointed. It produced so many I was begging people to take them. Makes an excellant juice and looks nice in salads. I found the taste an old timey tomato taste. Nice to pop in the mouth straight from the vine. No disease problems. |
