Delicious, yielded somewhat better and earlier than standard brandy wine types but still low yield. Sadly season was shortened by blight, so can't assess yield over full season. |

This is a lovely tomato, with two-toned red and yellow marbling effect throughout the large, rather flat round tomatoes. The flavour is mild and sweet yet rich and full. It may be my favourite tomato for eating fresh, thus far. Production is not huge, but pretty steady once it gets going. Some tomatoes seem more prone to cross than others, and I think this is one of the ones that crosses readily. I've bought crossed seed myself and I've heard other people complain about the same problem. If you are saving your own seed of this variety you should be careful to avoid this problem. Plant the plants away from other tomatoes, or choose a flower and cover it in gauze before it opens to keep those busy bees out. |

I grow this every year--it is so beautiful! Wonderful flavor in very big tomatoes. This is a heritage tomato, so you can save the seeds (I just smear some seeds in the gel on a paper towel and write the name on the paper, then put it in the bar fridge with the rest of my seeds after it has dried out.) |

Good germination rates, grew well. Not as prolific as Brandywine but the large orange red striped fruits has superb flavor. |
