Description: Smooth, deep-purple, cylindrical, 5- to 8-inch by 2- to 3-inch roots that should be harvested young and don't keep well. Sweeter than other cylindrical beets. Medium-tall tops with red veins. Also known as 'Forona' and 'Cook's Delight'.

This variety of beet grows relatively fast, is uniformly sized and stays good in the ground well into Fall without getting woody or tough. Easiest beet to peel in processing too!
