Did not grow very well. Could have been due to the season. What did grow ended up as good sized beets.

We left these in the ground for a long time and had very large roots in September. Beautiful color, good germination. |

Although this beet plant was attractive, its performance was disappointing, which may have been due to a cool, wet spring. The foliage was very pretty, and the color of the beets was interesting, but the plants were very slow to germinate, and very slow to mature. Used in salad and enjoyed the flavor, but did not cook. |

Golden beets are a favorite around here. They are very sweet and do well roasted. They produce well, loving loose, fluffy soil. |

I am not sure of the exact variety of the golden beets that I grow which is why I am including the review here but I have had excellent results from these beets in a sunny garden bed, slightly shaded with a legume crop. The beet size varied from medium to small but they were always sweet and the gold stemmed greens were good cooked. I had a surpringly high germination though I know this variety is unreliable as a geminator. |

I find the golden types to be less vigorous than the red types. |
