This old timer is still one of my favorites as a dried bean. I have not gown it since the early seventies and the location was central Virginia. I assisted my father to establish a Patch. All types of beans had been grown on this farm for years with no problems. The Navy bean grew well and produced well. Major noticeable characteristic is that did have better flavor than those from the grocery stores.
