| I have grown this variety for 2 years. I start my seeds indoors in late February under grow lights and plant out in spring. I plant in a spot that gets dappled afternoon shade (in a raised bed under a honey locust tree), which has helped keep them from bolting in summer. I am able to harvest stalks all through the summer and fall. Taste is excellent, but the stalks never fatten up too much. The plants get about a foot tall and the stalks stay very thin. Very good for chopping up to use in soups or cooking, but not a great variety for snacking in my experience. 2 stars for 'Ease' because of the requirement to start it so early indoors in my Chicago-area climate. |

| Last year was my first growing this variety (Ventura has been my staple for many years) . I was pleased. I encountered no bitterness, even after periods of neglect.
Celery continues to be one of the most reliable vegetables I grow. If started early enough indoors it rivals any easy-grow vegetable, and withstands frost to boot. |
