| Grows great if the soil is well warmed before planting. Has some trouble germinating first thing in the spring when soils are still cool. For best germination I plant this variety 2-3 weeks later than other sweet corn. Doesn't yield as much for canning as other varieties, but it sure is sweet. About 5 plants in 1000 suffered from smut in 2009 growing season. |

| Grew in 2007. Bought Pinetree seeds and planted after soil warmed and at 8" apart as advised. Germination was excellent. One or two plants got a tiny bit of smut, some corn earworm damage, but very little japanese beetle silk-eating compared to previous years. Some groundhog grazing. Often two ears per stalk plus baby ears! Corn is tender and very sweet. Our favorite variety so far here in south central PA. Feb., 2008: blanched and frozen corn is absolutely delicious! |

| I have had excellent success with this variety for two seasons. The taste is as good as any corn I've eaten. I can't complain about the yield although it may not be quite as good as Silver Queen. |
