This is my earliest pepper. It is often forming peppers in the pots before planting them. They are pale yellow at first, then ripen to bright red. They are about 1-2 inches in diameter and rounded, though generally wider than tall (oblate). They have very thick flesh. They make excellent pickled peppers. Keep picking them or they stop producing. I usually pick them \'green\' all summer and then around September let the last ones ripen to red. They take awhile to get really sweet. They will ripen after picking too if kept cool and dry. |

Good fleshy sweet pepper for northern shorter season areas. Very fleshy and not leathery at all. Fruits start out white then darken to red. Mild flavor, not as fruity or tangy as some sweet peppers. Fruit set can be a little iffy - so it may benefit from help it with pollination. Will definitely grow this again. Thanks to Fedco for offering this variety. |
