Slim Jim grows well and is productive. It is just too small to be widely useful. Flavor and texture is inferior to Japanese types like Ichiban. An interesting novelty, that might be useful to a container gardener. |

The healthy growth of this variety surprised me but the small size of the fruit made them difficult to use. The small plants matured fruit early and production was good. Just a little too tiny all around. |

Be prepared for lots of little 'finger-type' fruits; they grow like grapes. Best to use them at 3-4", as they loose sweetness. Nice small 2' plant with dark purple stems and purplish leaves; also good in containers. |
