Great cabbage! Large, slightly elongated heads, not very densely compacted leaves. Mild flavor that was delicious fresh and cooked.

Spotty germination, transplanted. Good sized and beautiful shaped heads. Good flavor. Heads not tight possibly due to not enough water or just the variety. July harvest.

Our cabbages struggled. We transplanted them and hilled the soil quite high. Despite this, we continuously fought against leggy cabbages. Every few days we would hill up the soil around it, and it would still grow upward and not fruit into a rounded cabbage. After we finally got the cabbages settled from growing up and not out, they were attacked by bugs. We did not use row covers. Row covers must be a requirement.

We grew the cabbage under a row cover which is mandatory in our area if you do not use pesticides. Under the cover, it grew well. Mild, pleasant flavor, but not form a very tight head. The shape was slightly oblong with a long stem.

In our main garden we grew these cabbages without row covers. They formed beautiful cone shaped heads that were heavily attacked by cabbage moth caterpillars. After removing the damaged outer leaves, the cabbage was very tasty, mild and crisp.\r\nWe also grew these cabbages in a garden with row covers. This save them from the caterpillars but they did not form heads. The problems with the caterpillars earned them a 3 for ease/reliability.

We had no harvest, the four plants grew to about 7 inches tall and never formed a head and slowly declined.

: Grew into big, dense heads. Sliced fresh and eaten raw, the flavor and texture were delicious. Very popular with the slugs and caterpillars.

Very good tasting and attractive little cabbage, quick growing. The usual troubles with cabbage loopers etc. Not a storage cabbage, but a good summer variety.

These have been, easy to grow, headed up nicely and taste sweet. They are not super huge as grown in our raised beds, but we are a small family and that\'s fine. We appreciate the short season of growth for this variety. Whatever I can\'t use fresh or give away I blanch and freeze for winter soups and stews.

A great reliable early, tasty cabbage for this area. Plant on 12" centers. Not tightly packed head, but sweet and delicious for first spring cabbage.

One of the earliest conehead types. It has good flavor and grows reasonably well. Heads are quite small. I prefer the Charleston Wakefield which is only about a week to 10 days later and 3 -4 times larger.
