This was my first year for this variety. I did not start from seed, but purchased plants around June 28 and set them in right away. They produced very uniform heads with good flavor. Some are still in the ground. They made excellent cole slaw. The heads are very dense, and will probably keep well; we'll see.

Huron is round, not flat, in spite of the description. It is notable for keeping extremely well. (Through the winter for me at 38 degrees.)
