2011 was an extremely wet year for NE Ohio. That said, root crops that take 3 weeks to germinate did very well due to all the rain. Had a bumper crop of these parsnips. They are nearly coreless, most 3 inch across at the top, and very good in flavor. The seeds were obtained from seeds saved by my son the year before.
