'Moon & Stars (Cherokee)' Melons

Description:	Pink-fleshed watermelon. Vines bear 20- to 24-inch, 10- to 25-pound fruit with bright pink flesh and black seeds. Foliage and fruit are spotted with yellow, just like the original 'Moon and Stars'.

Have been growing for 5+ years and saving seeds. Nice size for eating up. Very attractive markings on skin. No problems growing. Vines 8-10' long. Several melons each vine.

The melons were all over this vine three to four per plant. My summer was hot and the irrigation seemed to be ample. The melons sized up 15 to 30 pounds each. The sweetness was there but the flavor never developed. The 95 days was spot on. My seeds only said moon and stars I had pin point stars on a dark green rind with pink flesh but never had a moon.
