Amish Muskmelon was a delicious and juicy melon with a flesh that was not too mushy. I grew it in clay soil with little effort and it was one of the earliest melons that I ate out of the garden this summer. I would say it riped from being planted in the soil in a little over sixty five days. This melon did not slip when ripe though it did turn a brilliant yellow and begin cracking near the stem. The only down side was the yield. I only had one melon on the plan while other melons have set more. I'm hoping it might set another now that this one is picked.
