I brought this melon over to the house of my friends with children who eat melons like they are going out of style. Her little girl described it as "it tastes sort of like a watermelon." It was very crisp, but with less juice than a watermelon. I kind of enjoyed it, though I think I may have picked it a little early. The plants were very compact and seemed to have a very natural propensity to grow up rather than out. Would be a natural space saving melon to trellis. However, the compactness only afforded one melon.
