We really struggle to grow brassicas. Our soil is acidic and lacking in nutrients for them, our summers are hot and dry, we have scads and scads of cabbage worms; in short, they are not happy campers here. Still, we've been more successful with this cabbage than most. It's hard to find open-pollinated Savoy cabbage, but this one has hung around for a reason. |
