Correct name for this cucumber is \"Muncher\". This is an easy, reliable plant with a fairly compact vine. Like all cukes best kept off the ground, but a sturdy tomato cage should be sufficient. Steady, season-long production of mid-sized slicing cucumbers. Nice flavour, and has held up even in quite hot, dry weather. The skins are tender and this cucumber is the one most appreciated by snails in my garden; they sometimes leave nibbled trails on the skins. A good general purpose cucumber and one I would consider if I could only grow one kind. In addition to serving it fresh I\'ve made dill and bread and butter pickles with it. |
