This is the only cuke I\'ve ever grown. So many fruits that by the end of summer, we\'re sick of \'em! I pickled some this summer as well - not awesome, but not the worst either. When picked at the right size (smallish), they have sweet flesh with a tender skin that doesn\'t need to be peeled. In fact, I never peel them. I\'ve grown them in both zone 4a and 7a (northern VA). Towards the end of the season, powdery mildew can be an issue, but by then you don\'t care. |
