Taste was a little disappointing, not very strong but sweet and good enough. Germination was very good and carrots were easy to grow from seed. No problems with bugs or disease. Tops are strong as described, makes for easy harvesting. Fairly uniform but took longer then 60 days to reach a really good size. |

Grew these over the winter in TX. Grown side by side with Danvers and Scarlet Nantes, the Napoli had more consistent large, long, fat carrots. Delicious; tender yet very crunchy.
The other two were pretty darn tasty too, there just wasn't as much to eat. |

Planted this variety because it was recommended by Elliot Coleman as an excellent winter variety to carry through the winter. Harvested the last of the carrots around Christmas and I must say, the colder it got, the better they tasted. They weathered several hard freezes and only became sweeter and more crisp. I did have them protected with a low plastic hoop house. They were so successful I will be planting twice as many late summer for fall and winter harvest December 2010. |

Good fall/winter harvest. Good ground storage under chopped leaves and plastic tunnel. Sweet tasting and crunchy! |
