Garden Size: Medium - 400 square feet to 1,600 square feet
Sun Exposure: More than 8 hours per day

Planted Park seeds directly in poor soil, mostly clay, under a black walnut tree with heavy shade in the morning. Harvested them throughout the summer, but after 151 days they remained delicious. I decided to wait even longer to see and finished the crop after 229 days, and after several days of frost. The Nelsons remained unusually good. A must for next season, may be my favorite carrot.

This is the best fast-growing carrot variety for spring planting here in NY. It dependably produces tender, sweet carrots in hot conditions.

Reliability is where this variety really comes through. Over the course of many years, Nelson has consistently performed well in my garden. Excellent Nantes taste.
