Planted Park seeds directly in poor soil, mostly clay, under a black walnut tree with heavy shade in the morning. Harvested them throughout the summer, but after 151 days they remained delicious. I decided to wait even longer to see and finished the crop after 229 days, and after several days of frost. The Nelsons remained unusually good. A must for next season, may be my favorite carrot. |

This is the best fast-growing carrot variety for spring planting here in NY. It dependably produces tender, sweet carrots in hot conditions. |

Reliability is where this variety really comes through. Over the course of many years, Nelson has consistently performed well in my garden. Excellent Nantes taste. |
