Sowed seeds in a raised bed of 50/50 compost/sand on June 10, first (and ONLY) zucchini harvested July 30. I uprooted this plant August 22 because it was taking up so much room in my garden and was downright embarrassing! No one I've spoken with has ever had so much issue with a zucchini plant. To only get one zucchini in unheard of. The plant looked extremely healthy and had plenty of flowers. Yes, I probably could have hand pollinated, but didn't. The one perk I can list about Nimba squash is that the taste of the one fruit my plant produced was fantastic. If you have better luck with yield, this certainly would be a nice variety to have in the garden.
