Trouble with germination. Harvested carrots were small, thin, not very flavorful. Grown in sandy loam. |

Great germination with mixed results. Only half were decent shape and size. Possibly due to hot weather and lack of water. |

Beautiful! Excellent sweet taste and great texture, crisp on the outside but not too hard where it snaps. We didn\\\\\\\'t have success with a May planting date, our raised beds got too hot and nothing grew. We did a fall-harvest planting date of August 1st and had better success.\r\n\r\nStaff review : The carrot immediately has a delicious earthy bite to it as well, with a crispy spice that expresses itself in every bite at first then fades away. I found it to be a perfect crunchy balance of sweet and savory which was super enjoyable. I liked this carrot immensely compared to your typical 5 lb bag from the store. |

Grew well, but the roots were misshapen. Might have been due to the heavy soil. The taste was good, but average. Not particularly sweet. Again, could be due to the soil and growing conditions. |

One carrot a tad soft. Another carrot good size and crisp, delicious. green leaves 10" tall. Carrots around 5" long in our bed. The one I picked in August was very chubby! |

Great carrot for tough soils. I have grown these in various soils conditions and they have always produced well. The flavor is alright but not very sweet, these can get pretty fibrous if you let them get very old. If you are not dealing with tough to penetrate clay soil, consider growing something better tasting and easier to chew. |

Delicious, very strong and sweet taste; stores well as described. Preformed amazingly well in a very heavy and stony clay soil. Great yield of carrots from seed. Some problems with green shoulder as they grew up and out of the soil (easily remedied by more vigilant re-covering) but no issues with bugs or disease. A favourite in my garden, I plan on trying to over-winter and produce seeds in the future. |
