I have grown Poinsett as an alternate to Straight Eight. It is an adequate performer, but Straight Eight is more consistent. A very typical slicing cucumber. |

3-4 ft. vines. Excellent viability with no spray. For some reason, this variety appears to attract slugs more than other varieties. Mild flavored when young. Somewhat bitter when ripe. Can be cooked as a substitute for marrow squash or zucchini when ripe. |
