| 2009 was a bad year to be a warm loving crop, but these beauties started on early and just kept coming. Flavor was much preferred over Prudens Purple and Purple Passion, both of which we grew as well. These were flavorful, sweet and well-balanced with just enough tomato tang. Meaty fruit in the 12-16 oz range. We bought the seed for the name as I had a much beloved Aunt Ginny of my own. We'll keep growing it for the same reason the original "Aunt Ginny" saved seed on this one. Production-Flavor-Healthy Plants make for one outstanding tomato. |

| I grew this tomato because my name is Ginnie (soon I'll be an Aunt!). It's not the most prolific tomato, but it's delicious, and huge! The flavor is on-par with Brandywine, and I've had more luck in production with Aunt Ginny. Sadly, with the limited space in my garden, I'm not planning on growing it this year, but the flavor alone (not to mention the name) will welcome it back in my garden in upcoming seasons. |
