| Our onions struggled from early on. We transplanted in May into our rasied bed following directions to trim greenery down. Despite instruction, we had lots of yellowed green tops that didn\'t grow well. We eventually covered the entire plant (greenery and all) with soil and the growth seemed to pick back up, however none of the fruits got larger than a quarter. They didn\'t die, but I wouldn\'t say they grew either. The heat early in the season affected our other spring root vegetables, it\'s possible that this was the case for the onions as well. |

| The largest onion was about two inches in diameter. Crisp texture. Good flavor. Leaves flopped over after heavy rain. Some plants had twisted leaves due to allium leaf miner. |
