What I grew was sold as Amsterdam Maxi Forcing but it fits this description. We planted them on August 9th, and harvested the last of them on December 4th. These have been our most successful carrot crop to date. They are sweet, juicy and crisp. Size varies, but by leaving them longer they got to mostly be bigger than baby carrots. We were very bad about thinning them, but they did well anyway. We planted some in wet sticky clay, and some in a dry sandy bed. Both did very well. I am so pleased with these. Because they are so quick, we can get another crop out of the same space in the same year. This makes up for them being a smaller carrot than some. Excellent!
