Decent producer with very good flavor. I fry most of my zukes and this variety does well for that purpose. It has grown well despite a very wet Spring and first half of Summer. UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2023 - still producing heavily - even better than early summer. |

I grew a few Cocozelle plants this year, and I have been very impressed. I picked a bunch yesterday, and they are still producing in the Texas heat. Great flavor! I will definitely grow them again. |

not tremendously high-yielding but much tastier than many standard zucchini varieties. Stood up well during wet 2009 season when other varieties had bad powdery mildew problems. Surprisingly, has not moved that well at market since shoppers are looking for what is familiar, which is the standard green zukes, but I'll continue to try to educate my customers. |

Very easy to grow from seed, robust plant, dependable and high yielding, good flavor too.
Plant quickly reaches approximate size of 3.5 to 4' across with good early water supply and depending upon soil and water supplies later in the growing season may increase significantly from there, so space accordingly.
Cooks take note: If you harvest this one up to about 8"-9" or so, and and/or before it begins to swell much, the seeds will still be tiny. At that stage this one is less watery and maintains its texture better when cooked than some others at the same size. |

My favorite zucchini. Has large relatively stable blossoms great for stuffing. |
