While the name is unfortunate, General Lee is a highly productive cuke with good qualities and disease resistance. Good firmness and flavor, it even makes a decent pickle. Grew 4 plants over an arching wire trellis in a 4\'x4\' and had more cukes than I could deal with. |

I have raised this cucumber for several years both in the KS heat (100+) and the more milder PA summers. It always produces lots of straight and very good eating cucumbers and is very hearty. |

Excellent yield. Good taste, not bitter, not too seedy. Produced well in my garden with very little care. |

A very vigorous grower and an excellent slicer.
Very uniform in size and color. A top performer among traditioner slicers. Has better disease resistance than Straight Nine. |

General Lee is a strong variety. The cucumbers have a dark green color and stand out in the patch. They have a high yeild and seem to resist disease well. |
