This was not an optimum year for cucumbers here. Olympian did ok, but did not compete well with Talladega or General Lee |

Olympian proved to be an outstanding performer under organic gardening conditions in an environment plagued with cucumber beetles. I had stopped growing cucumbers for a couple of years because of problems with bacterial wilt spread by beetles. Last year with Olympian I had no wilt problems at all. Yields were huge nearly until frost. For disease resistance alone, this is an excellent variety. |
