Cucurbita pepo. Hybrid zucchini. Compact, single-stemmed, and spineless plants produce dark green, glossy, straight fruit which is best harvested at 7 to 8 inches. Disease resistant variety. Resistance to powdery mildew, papaya ringspot virus, watermelon mosaic virus, and zucchini yellow mosaic virus. About 50 days to maturity.

| The seed germinated quickly and grew rapidly into a HUGE plant. I think this variety is too big for a 3 x 3 bed. However, though the plant continued growing over the edge of our raised bed, it produced well and the zucchini were delicious. The plant did get mildew on the leaves toward the end of the season, in spite of its supposed resistance, so was certainly not attractive. We kept cutting off the affected leaves until the mildew overran the plant. We also saw a couple of borer eggs and some of the stalks looked like they were affected by borers. The zucchini kept producing however, and were not affected by the mildew or the borers. |

| Sown outdoors mid-June under row cover to deter squash vine borer. Row cover removed mid-July. Mildew on leaf late August. As of early October, plants are very healthy despite mildew, fruit is attractive with average taste but yield is very poor. |

| No luck with this variety so far. Seeds were planted in July and so far no squash have been produced. |

| Nice, firm dark green zucchinis. Tasted good at all stages of growth. Plant succumbed to a borer before powdery mildew season arrived. |
