'Shikou' Eggplant

Description:	Solanum melongena. Hybrid. Midseason purple long Asian type eggplant. Plants are medium-sized, reach 18-24" tall, productive, and are semi-spineless with purple calyx. Fruits measure 6-8" long and are 1-1.5" in diameter. Fruits have very few seeds with a thin tender skin and white interior. Shikou means supreme in Japanese. About 70 to 80 days to maturity.

An excellent Japanese eggplant very reliable and productive. Fruits are very dark purple , 6-8 inches long by 1.5 inch diameter. Medium size plant 18-20 inches.
