Sun Exposure: 6 to 8 hours per day

Polebean started producing 6 to 8 inch pods at about 60 days in zone 5b. Dark green pods and vines that grew 7 to 8 feet, and kept producing into late September. The flavor was excellent, and the local white-tail deer agreed. The yield was only hampered by the deer eating them. Seed was sources from Johnny\'s and listed as a PVP variety. I would have rated this higher if it weren\'t PVP by Syngenta.

Very tasty green bean especially if picked on the thin side. I liked the ease with which they came off, no tugging needed, easy to harvest with one hand. Germinated well but had to resow about a quarter due to chipmunk activity.

In the VVTG plot, these beans were lost under the other varieties and produced very little. They seem slow to get started compared to other beans. In my home garden, they were great, producing slender, tasty, round green beans from August on.
