I planted these in 2020 and 2021 after Gonzales seemed to have been discontinued. It\\\\\\\'s a great replacement. It\\\\\\\'s a bit bigger than a softball, about 5 -6", nice dense heads, has a great taste, holds well in the field and keeps a long time in the fridge. It\\\\\\\'s mid January now and I still have a couple of heads from last September wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge. It\\\\\\\'s quick enough so you can get two crops, spring and fall. It tolerates a pretty heavy frost.\r\nUPDATE 2023 - These performed well again this year despite a very, very wet summer. The last one left in the garden did split, but none of the others did and with the rains and heat we had that was surprising. |
