I didn't rate taste on this great little pumpkin because we don't eat the flesh-- we grow it solely for the delicious, hull-less seeds (although we have carved a few for Halloween). If you like pumpkin seeds, you'll love Snack Jack. While it doesn't vine much, the leaves are huge, so it needs some space if you don't want other veggies shaded by them. We usually get 5-6 pumpkins per plant. Definitely appreciates soil with a lot of compost. Last year I grew it in a spot that didn't have a high compost ratio and the plants were very stunted and didn't produce at all. |
