Like previously stated, very vigorous to diseases and pests, including the squash vine-borer. Although not immune to the borer it will continue growing and re-root in other areas along the main stem to keep up production. I would highly recommend this to anyone in a hot dry or hot humid climate (Tucson, AZ). I would also recommend anyone to try this variety if they have not had luck with growing others due to pests/disease. |

Was very skeptical adding this squash to a garden in Texas. I was very surprised. It is now a must! No problems at all and great tasting on the grill. |

Tasty. Good production. A big success in my 2006 garden. Squash Vine Borers damaged my other zucchini plants, but left Ronde de Nice alone. Definitely a winner! |

This and Zephyr are probably my two favorite summer squashes. Rond de Nice was extremely productive, often producing something like 10 squash every 4 days for me. Because of this you probably only want one plant in your garden. Flesh is solid and not that watery when cooked, unlike some other squashes. Skin is very thin. We batter and fry the squash rounds and they are great. This squash is a keeper in my garden. |
