I will try Sunray again, but of half a dozen summer squash plants, one each to a 5-gallon pot, Sunray was the only unsuccessful effort. The squash could not be fertilized, despite my repeated efforts to supplement our bees by transferring pollen with a fine paint brush, something that has always worked with every other squash. The female parts seemed defective. They were hard and unyielding. It could be a problem with the type, or it could just be the single seed I used.
