I received a two leafed plant with a few roots during a home show in Sarasota County FL in Nov 2010. I kept the little sample in water until April and planted it in a pot on our lanai. It quickly began to produce tender leaves that I ate right off the plant. The tase is pleasant, but as one chews a leaf, a mucilaginous substance is produced that is a little off-putting. I added it to a lettuce and tomato sandwich and enjoyed it very much that way and didn't notice the aforementioned sensation.
