| The Japanese Giant Red Mustard is a new addition to my garden this year. I haven\'t harvested yet, but so far, excellent germination and easy to grow. Unlike my other greens, my japanese giant red mustard have no bug damage at all! The colors of the leaves are absolutely beautiful as well. Highly recommend as of now! |

| I tried growing this plant with minimal success. Maybe one out of five plants that sprouted grew to any significant size. It appears to me that this was because they were in too much shade, but this is just speculation.
What little did grow was enough to ensure I will try to grow this plant again however. The leaves are quite different from any other leafy green I have had, they are surprisingly spicy without having much of the bitter flavor common among many leafy greens. |

| I grew this variety once several years back and it has reseeded itself thereafter. I like the flavor - it adds zip to salads and you can leave off the prepared mustard and the lettuce on your ham sandwich and use a leaf of this in its stead. I don't cook mustard greens so I can't testify to its qualities for that purpose. I can see where the yield would be low for that purpose. It does bolt when the weather warms but a new crop sprouts for fall use. |

| Spicy and adds color and taste to a mixed green salad. Not as easy to grow as other greens and yield (leaf size and numbers) not as great as other varieties. |
