To me this is the best of the orange/yellow
watermelons. Very prolific and easy to grow,
and the taste is superb. A top ten melon. |

This is a very large melon, averageing about 30 lbs for me. It is also late ripening, so I would hesitate to reccomend for cooler climates. It is larger than than the Tendersweet but matches or exceeds it taste. Its major drawback is a thin brittle rind that does not tolerate handling well. It does not split in the field, but I always have a few burst on the ride from the field. It does not size down well. Any under 20 lbs just don't have the flavor. |

If you get a large and well developed melon, [20+ lbs.] you have a taste treat. However, too often I have gotten less developed and flavorful melons |
