| This is an old cultivar, that is somewhat tempermental. Yields are much lower than the hybrids or even the newer Op's like Green Goliath. Taste is ok, but the heads and side shoots tend to get tough and stringy when stressed. It is not a cultivar that I would recommend for the south. |

| Can't get this one to sprout from seed to save my life. Several other varieties of broccoli started right along side these do just great. Wish I could tell you how it tastes, but I can never get it to grow at all. |

| Taste is very high on my list and while Waltham is not the most productive or foolproof varieties this old heirloom tastes better than any popular hybrid. Sideshoot production is good, just don't try and grow it too early. There is always a reason for very popular varieties and Waltham will be loved by those who cook. |

| Tended to bolt quickly in summer 2004. Side shoot development was minimal/sparse. Tasle was good, if you caught it in time. |
