| Does not hold well in the Spring (bolts) In North Dakota, plant late in the Fall to over winter. Will return in the Spring after withstanding temperatures as low as -40 degrees F. Start harvesting in the Spring before the snow melts. Stores 5-6 weeks under refrigeration if put up dry right right off the plant. |

| My go-to spinach. I have been growing this variety for several years now and it is very reliable. Bolted very late in the summer in my Northeast Illinois garden. Great taste. We pick leaves as we need them for meals, and these plants kept supplying new leaves over a long period. Germination better than other types I have tried. |

| As far as I can see this did no better or worse than the open-pollinated spinaches I have grown. Best planted in the fall for overwintering, but bolts at mid-summer along with all the other spinach regardless of when it was planted or what size it is at the time. I will stick with open-pollinated varieties since I see no improvement. |
