Absolutely fantastic variety! Grows very vigorously in my area with stalks longer than 3 feet and up to 2 inches wide. One plant can produce hundreds of pounds of stalks. Very tender with great flavor. Usually harvest from mid May to about 4th of July. Prolific producer of flower stalks, but easily managed by removal as they arise. I top dress with well composted manure every couple of years. The beds are raised and mulched. Other reviews are by people who are really out of the good rhubarb growing regions, so no rhubarb is going to do very well. |

We shouldn't really be growing it; It needs more chill than we get here. It is only 2 years old and we haven't harvested anything yet. It is growing in filtered shade and is heavily mulched - which might be restricting it's growth. But it has huge pretty leaves and stalks. It does go sort of dormant. We definitely underwater it. I think you could coax more out of it if you are more attentive. I gave it 3 stars for ease as we do nothing but water it occasionally. |

Plant this one where it receives less than full day direct sun if at all possible, it will be much easier to grow with less work.. Also does not do as well as some others when water is not truly abundant, especially if your only available spot gives it full day sun. In wet years or frequently watered and mulched, and when properly fed, it's taste proves it's worth, even with a lower yield than some others. |
