Grows reliably for me, especially when thinned soon after germination to about 6 inches apart.

I agree with the other reviews; this is a terrific turnip to grow. Problem-free, produces beautiful round white and purple roots with a nice spicy flavor. Also the greens are the best you can grow, tastier than collards or mustard in my view. In Central Va, more productive in spring than in fall ...

This is the standard by which all turnips are judged. It grows well for me and has the best tasting greens. The roots are good, but somewhat irregular in size and shape. Most will vary between round and top shaped. They do grow to a large size if left in the field.

Very easy to grow in central PA. The standard turnip we all know and love, is perfect taken fresh from the ground. Crisp white flesh is wonderful steamed. The tops are very good when young, although they can be eaten when the root is harvested, the tradeoff being a slightly tougher green that needs more cooking.
