Very vigorous and make a beautiful bunch. They form earlier than Shogoin. Large tops have red stems which adds to their visual attractiveness. Leaves are not as tender as Shogoin or Purple Top/White globe. Roots are tennis ball size and very mild flavored. There are several varieties I prefer for eating, but this one sure is pretty.
