I had no idea there were so many varieties. I been growing and enjoying these for years. They seem to do well at a fall crop. I only eat the root and thaws don\'t get woody fast as a fall crop. With proper planting and spacing they size up fast in the cool fall. I enjoy them raw, and steamed with butter, and boiled up with potatoes and mashed. Roasted with the parsnips and carrots and sweeds and horseradish. The pill bugs and slugs also will eat these so plant extra.
